Carr Continues to Rack Up Endorsements
ATLANTA – On the second anniversary of Chris Carr’s swearing-in as Attorney General for Georgia, the Augusta Chronicle and the Cherokee Tribune & Ledger News today joined the growing list of support for Carr’s election with glowing reviews for his take charge approach in office.
Carr also received a Wednesday endorsement from Georgians for Lawsuit Reform, an organization focused on ensuring a fair, balanced and efficient legal climate.
The endorsements arrive as Carr and the Republican ticket have attracted impressive crowds at rallies statewide on the “2018 Republican Road to Victory” bus tour, and Early Voting in Georgia continues to set records.
Today, Vice President Mike Pence is campaigning in Georgia with Carr and the Georgia Republican Party. On Tuesday, Lara Trump campaigned with the tour in metro Atlanta.
In the Augusta Chronicle’s Nov. 1 endorsement, the editorial board wrote:
“For state attorney general, vote for Chris Carr. In terms of getting things done, you won’t find a faster-moving Carr this side of the Atlanta Motor Speedway. Georgians need to keep Carr and his commonsense approach to upholding the rule of law.”
The editorial board of the Cherokee Tribune & Ledger News wrote:
“Carr cut his teeth as Sen. Johnny Isakson’s chief of staff for six years, and continues to practice the valuable lessons learned from Georgia’s senior senator — a calm, reasonable, effective approach to the issues of the day. He followed that job as commissioner of the Georgia Department of Economic Development from where he helped facilitate 1,069 projects across the state that represent approximately $14.4 billion in investment and the creation of more than 84,000 jobs.”
The Augusta, Canton, Marietta and Rome, Ga., newspaper endorsements and the additional endorsement from Georgia’s legal community are the latest in a series of strong endorsements for Carr’s leadership in public service to Georgia and as Attorney General.
More than 1,200 Georgians have joined Carr’s Statewide Grassroots Leadership Team, and he has earned the support of the Georgia Fraternal Order of Police, 82 Sheriffs and 28 District Attorneys, along with an extensive list of leaders across the state.
